Dr. Ruth Kanthula is a board-certified pediatrician specializing in general pediatrics and pediatric infectious diseases. With a strong commitment to collaborative, family-centered care. Dr. Kanthula believes in partnering with families to achieve optimal health outcomes for their children.
Before joining Comprehensive Pediatric Care LLC, Dr. Kanthula honed her skills in an academic setting, focusing on the unique needs of immunocompromised children. Her extensive experience has shaped her understanding that health looks different for every child and family, and she is dedicated to providing personalized care tailored to individual needs.
Born in Malawi and with family ties in both Malawi and Zimbabwe, Dr. Kanthula grew up in Northern Virginia. She attended the College of William & Mary for her undergraduate studies, earned her Master of Public Health from George Washington University, and received her medical degree from Ben Gurion University of the Negev Medical School for International Health, in Israel.
Dr. Kanthula is excited to serve the local community and looks forward to working with families to help their children achieve and maintain their best health.
